Your privacy is important to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how GoalCrafter.com LLC ("GoalCrafter," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you visit goalcrafter.com or use any related web-based services (together, the "Service").

2. Who may use the Service
The Service is intended only for adults (18 years and older) located in the United States. If you live outside the U.S., you may access the Service at your own risk; it may not comply with laws in other jurisdictions. We refuse or disable accounts when the date of birth provided at registration indicates that the individual is under 18.
3. Information we collect
When you create an account or interact with the Service, we collect:
Account details such as your name and email address.
Security and device data such as IP address and basic browser information used to protect the Service.
Demographic information and stated preferences you provide so we can personalize recommendations.
Payment identifiers supplied by our payments processor so that we can charge your subscription.
Cookies and similar technologies required to keep you signed in and to understand how the Service is used.
Support transcripts and AI chat transcripts that you generate when requesting help or using in-product Q&A features.
Self-improvement goals, habits, and metrics that you voluntarily log. Some of these entries may reveal fitness or lifestyle information. We collect and process them only to deliver and improve the Service, and you remain free to delete them at any time.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under 18.
4. How we use your information
We use your information to:
create and maintain your account;
generate personalized goal plans, task lists, and progress insights;
process payments and manage subscriptions;
secure the Service, detect fraud, and fix bugs;
answer questions and provide customer support;
send lifecycle emails and daily notifications that you can control in your account settings or by clicking "unsubscribe";
build hashed-email audiences for limited retargeting campaigns that remind inactive users about GoalCrafter. These campaigns never include your goals, habits, or in-product behavior;
produce aggregated, anonymized research or benchmark reports that never reveal individual identities.
We rely on your consent (where required), the need to perform our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running and improving the Service. We do not sell personal information.
5. Disclosure of information
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service and are bound by contractual obligations not to use your information for their own marketing:
Stripe - subscription billing and payment processing (see https://stripe.com/privacy).
PostHog - analytics that help us understand product usage (see https://posthog.com/privacy).
Amazon Web Services - Simple Email Service (AWS SES) - delivery of transactional and lifecycle emails (see https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/).
If we ever add new providers that receive personal information, we will update this Policy.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are necessary to sign in, maintain secure sessions, and measure basic usage. Most browsers let you refuse cookies, but parts of the Service will not function without them.
7. Advertising and Global Privacy Control
We sometimes purchase cross-context advertising to encourage former users to return. We do so by uploading hashed email addresses to advertising partners such as Google, Meta, or LinkedIn. We do not include goal or habit data in these audiences, and we do not track you across sites for behavioral ads.
We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a valid GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sharing described above and remove your email from advertising audiences.
8. Security
All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted both in transit, and at rest. We apply administrative and technical safeguards, maintain role-based access controls, and monitor for unauthorized activity. If a security incident occurs that affects your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable authorities as required by law.
9. Your choices and rights
Access and correction: You may review or edit most account information at any time in your profile settings, or by contacting us.
Deletion: You can delete your account in settings or send us a request. Upon verification through your account email address or a signed declaration, we will remove personal data, retaining only anonymized analytics.
Opt-out of advertising audiences: Use GPC, or email us.
Sensitive information: You may delete any goal, habit, or metric entry and disable habit tracking altogether.
